A window to a wilder world

St Andrews botanic garden

January Opening Hours

Open on weekends (Saturday,Sunday) only from 10am-4pm throughout January.

We had planned for the Garden to be closed for the whole of January as usual. However, with Scotland moving to Tier 4 from Boxing Day, we want to provide our local community with a space to exercise whilst enjoying the peace and calm of the garden.
So we have decided that the Garden will now be open on weekends throughout January (2nd, 3rd, 9th, 10th, 16th, 17th, 23rd, 24th, 30th and 31st). Entry will be for those who live locally- please do not travel from elsewhere. Admission will be free for all, though if you would like to make a donation to the Garden you can do so here.
We’ll have to reduce our offering whilst we’re in Tier 4/lockdown, which means:
🌸 The gift shop will not be open
🌱 We will need to take some information when you arrive for the Test & Protect. This will be done outside, by the side window of the Gatehouse
🍂 The toilets will be closed
🌸 We will no longer be accepting cash payment, only card payments
Please follow government guidance whilst visiting, this means that only locals should visit the garden and if you are meeting someone else in the garden, group sizes are restricted to two people from two households (under 12s are not counted the group size).
We will be opening as normal, 7 days a week, from February 1st, with the usual admission charges and opening hours.
